About this site
Steal an Egg Best Eggs answers one question: which eggs should you actually steal in each area of Steal an Egg? There are 11 areas and 88 eggs in the game, and most of them are not worth the trip. This site narrows each area down to the one egg worth holding out for and the one worth taking as a fallback.
The second half of the job is recognition. Knowing that "Ice Dragon" is the best egg in Snow does not help if you cannot tell which egg on the nest it is. So every egg here has a full-size image you can open and zoom into, to compare against what you are looking at in game.
Where the data comes from
Every number on this site comes from the community wiki at stealanegg.fandom.com. We do not run our own in-game measurements, and we do not estimate. Egg names, rarity tiers, the area each egg belongs to, and the base income of the pet inside each egg are all taken from the wiki's published data. Rankings were last checked on September 15, 2026.
The wiki publishes its content under CC-BY-SA, and the egg images used here are taken from the same wiki. We keep a full provenance record of which page each image came from.
How ranking works
1. Every egg in an area is listed
Each of the eleven areas in Steal an Egg has eight eggs that can spawn in its nests. We list all of them, not just the two we recommend.
2. Eggs are ranked by the income of the pet inside
The community wiki publishes a base income figure for every pet — the amount of money per second it generates once it is hatched. Inside an area, we rank its eight eggs by that documented figure.
3. The top two become the recommendation
The egg with the highest documented income in an area is labelled Best Egg. The one in second place is the Runner-up. There is no voting, no weighting and no editorial pick — it is a straight sort of the published numbers.
Limits of the ranking
- The income figures are the wiki's published base values. We have not measured them in game ourselves, and they can change with any game update.
- They do not include size, colour or mutation multipliers. A large or mutated version of a lower-ranked egg can be worth more than a plain version of the top egg.
- Rarity alone is not the ranking. Two eggs in the same area can share a rarity tier and still be far apart in income — we sort on the income figure, not the tier.
- Rankings only compare eggs within the same area. The best egg in Forest is worth a tiny fraction of the worst egg in Titan Temple.
- The wiki does not publish drop rates for individual eggs, so we do not show spawn odds. We would rather show nothing than guess.
What this site is not
It is not official, and it is not trying to be a complete wiki. There are no accounts, no logins, no comments and no user submissions. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing is stored about you.
It is also not finished. Steal an Egg is updated regularly, and an area or an egg added after our last check will be missing until we catch up. If you spot something wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
This is an independent fan-made website and is not affiliated with Roblox or the developers of Steal an Egg.
